Academic ProgramMEs

The Baptist School offers a range of academic programmes designed to meet the diverse needs and talents of its students. Curriculums encompass basic and advanced studies. Our graduates are well prepared to become the next generation of leaders, critical thinkers and innovators in our society. Listed below is a peek at our school's academic programmes:

Kindergarten

The ABS Kindergarten is dedicated to the glory of God and exists to help children grow spiritually, emotionally, physically, and academically. We have high expectations of our children and want them to excel in everything they do in life.

"I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all my go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well", (3 John 1:2). We recognize that each child is an individual and we encourage all of our children to develop at their own pace. There is a strong emphasis on learning through play and practical activities.

Parental involvement is critical to the success of every child in our school; our efforts won't bear fruit unless they are supported and reinforced at home. This parental support means that you, as a parent, must see to it that your child gets adequate sleep and nutrition and arrives at school on time each day.

Primary School I Grades 1 - 5

Our Primary School prepares students to be creative, innovative, responsible and compassionate men and women of the future. Each child is a beloved and valued member of our school.

Parents can choose between two programmes: The National Programme where all subjects are taught in Arabic whilst English is one subject among the rest, and the Cambridge Primary Programme where all subjects are taught in English whilst Arabic is one subject among the rest.

While our teachers embrace a collaborative approach to learning that supports diverse interests and needs, we are mostly distinguished by the cozy, loving, nurturing, family-like atmosphere here at the Primary School. For us, school is not merely about educating the minds but educating the hearts and souls, too.

Middle School I Grades 6 - 8

The school continues to offer consistently the same loving atmosphere and educational programmes: National Programme and Cambridge Secondary Programme.

International ProgramME I Grades 9-12

The Baptist School offers the IGCSE/A-Level Programme, which provides students with an international education with access to a worldwide community of studies and working internationally. Our curriculum is recognized for providing students with a broad and balanced education.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme I Grades 11-12

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year educational programme primarily aimed at 16 to 18 year olds (grades 11 and 12). The programme provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education and is recognised by many universities worldwide.

IBDP is an academically rigorous and balanced programme of education with final examinations (at grade 12) that prepares high school students for success in higher education and life in a global society.

National Programme I Grades 9-12

The High School is the place where our boys and girls grow into young men and women of the future.

As we follow the Ministry of Education's curriculum, we seek to give each boy and girl a well-rounded knowledge, with every opportunity to reach their full potential and be well-prepared for a successful and fulfilling life after graduation.

The Baptist School offers the following streams to choose from under The National Programme: Scientific Stream, Literary Stream and Hotel Management.

Underpinning all these facets is a level of care that defines The Baptist School as a unique close-knit community that understands that all children are different and that each child is valued for his/her uniqueness.

A student's stream of choice is the 1st step towards Higher Education which in turn will shape his/her future career path.
